Hamilton Electric Works, Inc. has been a cornerstone of the Austin industrial community since 1946. Founded by C.R. 'Ross' Hamilton, the business started as a small electric motor shop on Airport Boulevard and has served Central Texas ever since.

Today, Dale Hamilton continues the family tradition as Owner and Operator, with a third generation now part of the business. That kind of continuity is rare in any industry, and it shows in the depth of knowledge our team brings to every job.

We sell, repair, and service electric motors for commercial and industrial customers across Central Texas. Our client base ranges from HVAC contractors and property managers to manufacturing plants, municipal utilities, and food processing facilities. Our History

C.R. 'Ross' Hamilton founded Hamilton Electric Works in 1946 in Austin, Texas. Over the decades, the shop has grown from a one-man operation into one of the most trusted names in electric motor sales and service in Central Texas.

The company has seen Austin transform from a small capital city into a major metropolitan area, and has adapted right along with it - expanding services, building relationships with major motor manufacturers, and investing in diagnostic technology.

Our team's tenure tells the story. Matt Ludke has been with the company for over 20 years. Charles Forge retired in 2023 after 48 years of service. That kind of dedication reflects a workplace built on mutual respect and shared purpose.

Dale Hamilton carries on the family tradition started by his father, C.R. 'Ross' Hamilton, in 1946. Under Dale's leadership, Hamilton Electric Works continues to serve Central Texas with the same commitment to quality and integrity that has defined the business for nearly 80 years.
